What is a Web Designer?

Web designers are responsible for designing, coding and maintaing websites, from layout to function and according to a client's specifications.

Web designers will work closely with clients to capture their ideas and to convert them into designs. They will also work hand in hand with UX designers to ensure that there is easy usability of a site.

What skills does a Web Designer need?

A Web Designer would need to be proficient in:

  • Frontend languages HTML & CSS
  • JavaScript and a frontend framework
  • Graphic design tool like Photoshop
  • Wireframing and mockup tools
